Requiescat
安魂曲
strew on her roses, roses,
and never a spray of yew.
in quiet she reposes;
ah! would that i did too.
her mirth the world required;
she bathed it in smiles of glee.
but her heart was tired, tired.
and now they let her be.
her life was turning, turning;
in mazes of heat and sound;
but for peace her soul was yearning,
and now peace laps her round.
her cabin’d, ample spirit,
if flutter’d and fail’d for breath
to-night it doth inherit
the vasty hall of death.
用玫瑰花、玫瑰花覆盖伊,
却决不要一枝紫杉!
她安静地卧着休息:
啊,愿我也能长眠!
世界曾需要她的欢笑;
她曾以欢欣的微笑浸润它。
但她的心是倦了、倦了,
现在他们就不打扰她。
她的生活本在转动,
转动于兴奋与喧嚣的迷境中。
但她的灵魂在渴求安宁,
而现在安宁将她包笼。
她受束缚的、丰富的精神,
它颤动,它不济----气息已荒。
今夜它确实继承
这宏大的死亡之堂。
